The manner in which third-party artificial intelligence providers handle information submitted through their systems depends on our agreements and technical configurations with those providers.
We will handle User Content in accordance with this Privacy Policy, our Terms of Service, and applicable law.
#6 5. How We Share Information
We may disclose information to third parties in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: Trusted service providers that help us operate VidScribe (cloud hosting, data storage, artificial intelligence services, transcription services, authentication, payment processing, email delivery, customer support, security and fraud prevention, analytics, error monitoring, and infrastructure performance). These providers may access information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.

Any successor organization will be required to handle personal information in accordance with applicable law.
- With Your Direction or Consent: When you instruct us to do so, enable an integration, intentionally share information, or otherwise provide consent.
#7 6. Selling and Sharing Personal Information
VidScribe does not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of selling personal information for money.
Certain analytics, advertising, or cookie technologies can potentially constitute a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under some U.S. state privacy laws even when money is not exchanged.
Where applicable law treats our use of a technology as a sale or sharing of personal information, we will provide the legally required disclosures and mechanisms for exercising applicable opt-out rights.
Users may also manage available cookie preferences through any cookie controls provided on VidScribe.ai.
#8 7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for purposes including providing the Services, maintaining your account, processing transactions, fulfilling the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, maintaining security, resolving disputes, preventing fraud and abuse, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it was collected. Uploaded content, generated content, logs, backups, or related information may remain in backup or disaster-recovery systems for a limited period after deletion from active systems. When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, anonymize, or aggregate it.

These safeguards may include measures such as encryption where appropriate, secure communications, authentication controls, access restrictions, monitoring and logging, infrastructure security controls, security testing, and restricted administrative access.
The Federal Trade Commission recommends that businesses collect only information they need, protect retained information, and appropriately manage service-provider security risks.
